When buying a home, applying for the loan is very exasperating for a lot of people, but it doesn't have to be. I've got great connections to several mortgage lenders in the Sarasota area, and they've helped me learn a few things that make the loan application process uncomplicated.

1 – Put together a list of questions about your loan program

If you don't completely understand the ins and outs of the various programs, be sure to have a list of questions. At times, it can be a challenge to understand the distinctions between both fixed and adjustable rate mortgages. 2 – Decide when you want to lock

Locking in a rate denotes that your lender guarantees the interest rates for the loan – often at the time the loan application is received. By floating the rate, you can lock the rate at any time between application and issuance of closing documents. 3 – Determine if you want to pay additional points to lower your rate
