Patricia Tan Named 2011 National Association of REALTORS®
President's Liaison to National Association of Estate Agents in United Kingdom
 Sarasota, Florida October 2010 - Patricia Tan of Prudential Palms Realty was named President's Liaison to the United Kingdom by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) 2011 President Ron Phipps. President's Liaisons play a dynamic role in maintaining NAR's partnerships with 80 national real estate associations in 59 countries. They also serve on NAR's Global Alliances Advisory Group.
Tan's responsibilities as President's Liaison will include hosting delegations from the U.K.'s National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) who visit U.S.A. She will also attend the NAEA's annual meeting in the United Kingdom and be responsible for organizing trade missions and visits between real estate professionals from both countries. She will focus on further developing relationships between both Associations as a strong foundation for networking between the Associations and their members.
U.K. buyers are the second largest group of international buyers in Florida, after Canadians. They represent 15% of all international transactions in the State, according to research conducted by NAR. The most popular destination for U.K. buyers is Orlando, followed by Sarasota/Bradenton and then St Petersburg/Clearwater.
Tan, a native of England who relocated to Florida in 1997, is very familiar with real estate practices in U.K., having worked with an American real estate franchise as they tried to establish themselves in the U.K. market in the early 1990s. She currently works as International Sales Director of Prudential Palms Realty in Sarasota, where she is a real estate practitioner and responsible for development and implementation of the company's international marketing strategy. This year she has been involved with marketing and sales programs in Canada, United Kingdom and China, promoting investment in Florida real estate. She is a past chair person of the Sarasota Association of Realtors International Council and works to organize the Association's International Real Estate Congress each year. She holds NAR designations Certified International Property Specialist, and Graduate Realtor Institute.

SARASOTA, Fla. (May 27, 2010) Prudential Palms Realty is proud to announce that Carla Rayman and Patricia Tan of the Your Global Agents Team will once again be featured speakers at RISMedia’s 2010 Leadership Conference – the Real Estate Social Media Summit.
RISMedia, the Leader in Real Estate Information Systems, will hold its 21st annual conference—one of the most popular and informative real estate business conferences of the year—on June 9-10, 2010, just outside of New York City at the beautiful and conveniently located Hilton Rye Town in Westchester County, New York.
This year’s Conference will take the form of a Summit on real estate Social Media and Mobile Strategies for both brokers and sales associates to help these professionals best meet the demands of today’s home buyers and sellers.
Rayman, the Director of International Business Development for Prudential Palms Realty will take part in the session, Getting the Most Out of Social Media in the Least Amount of Time. This panel discussion will kick off the two day conference. Patricia Tan, who is International Sales Director for the company, will take part in the panel that discusses Enhancing Agents' Value Proposition to Consumers.
Other sessions at the conference will discuss the latest technology advances that realtors can use to market properties more effectively, with a focus on the use of social media and mobile technology. Rayman and Tan are well known for their presence in the International real estate market, and they will bring a global perspective to the conference.
CARLA RAYMAN
Originally from Pennsylvania, Carla Rayman moved to Sarasota in 1996. She is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's degree in communications and special interest in American Sign Language. She has earned the real estate designations: TRC, GRI, e-Pro and CIPS. She currently serves on the following boards and committees:

PATRICIA TAN
Patricia Tan was born in England, and moved to Sarasota in 1997. Her career in international sales and marketing has afforded her the opportunity to live and work in many countries around the world, including Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Patricia spent five years as a Director of an American real estate franchise in England in 1990s, when American real estate companies were just entering the European market.
Patricia has earned the realtor designations of CIPS, GRI, and TRC.
She has served as Chairperson of SAR’s International Council, and serves on FAR’s International Operations Committee.
She currently works as International Sales Director for Prudential Palms Realty in Sarasota, where her focus is to bring international buyers to the local market. She has recently made marketing trips to Europe, Asia and Canada. These marketing trips usually involve presenting the Florida real estate market at international property shows, and holding seminars for consumers interested in buying property in USA or emigrating there.

Sarasota will become a slice of Tinseltown as several Hollywood stars descend for the 12th annual Sarasota Film Festival from April 9 to April 18. Celebrity guests include new and old faces to the festival, such as actors Kevin Kline, Patricia Clarkson, Ben Foster, Stanley Tucci, Steve Buscemi, Vincent D’Onofrio, director John Landis and others.
